This tragic loss inspired Don to create the Hook the Future program. Through this charity, Don seeks to impart to parents how vital it is to spend time with their children.

The Hook the Future charity takes out a new crew each week for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure on the sea. They’ve gone fishing for salmon, lingcod, and halibut in Alaska, for giant bull reds off Jacksonville’s shores, and even traveled to Guatemala for big pacific sailfish and roosterfish! Children experience unparalleled involvement in the trips, from landing their fish to piloting the boat.
